ONESUN Welcomes Ethiopian Clients for Factory Visit

Advancing Localized C&I Energy Storage Manufacturing Cooperation

Recently, ONESUN was honored to welcome a delegation of key clients from Ethiopia to our manufacturing facility. The visit focused on a comprehensive inspection of ONESUN’s commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage systems, as well as in-depth discussions on localized assembly and long-term strategic cooperation aligned with Ethiopia’s national energy development policies.

During the factory tour, the Ethiopian delegation carefully reviewed several of ONESUN’s proven C&I energy storage solutions, including the 100kW/241kWh and 125kW/261kWh systems. These products have been widely deployed in global markets and are designed for applications such as peak shaving, backup power, off-grid and weak-grid scenarios, and renewable energy integration.

The clients showed strong interest in ONESUN’s system integration capabilities, including battery module design, BMS and EMS architecture, safety protection mechanisms, and standardized production and testing processes. ONESUN’s mature manufacturing workflow and project delivery experience in overseas markets were highly recognized throughout the visit.

Ethiopia is currently accelerating the development of its power infrastructure and energy storage capacity, with strong governmental support for electricity expansion and renewable energy projects. Notably, the Ethiopian government has clearly stated that only partners with local manufacturing or localization plans will be prioritized in future power and energy storage projects. Localization has become a key requirement for market entry and long-term participation.

Against this backdrop, local assembly and factory establishment were core topics of discussion during the visit. The Ethiopian clients expressed a clear intention to implement localized assembly in Ethiopia and aim to establish a solid foundation by 2026, with the goal of building a five-year long-term strategic partnership with ONESUN.

In response to these requirements, ONESUN presented its comprehensive localized manufacturing cooperation model. With extensive experience in overseas projects, ONESUN can flexibly support SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) and CKD (Completely Knocked Down) solutions, enabling partners to reduce initial investment, accelerate market entry, and meet local policy requirements efficiently.

Beyond SKD and CKD supply, ONESUN is also open to joint investment and co-factory establishment with local partners. From factory planning, production line design, equipment configuration, and technical transfer, to staff training, quality management systems, and long-term operational support, ONESUN provides a one-stop lithium battery and energy storage joint factory solution.

ONESUN believes that energy storage cooperation goes far beyond product supply. It is about technology export, manufacturing capability building, and sustainable local partnerships. This factory visit marks an important milestone in ONESUN’s cooperation with the Ethiopian market and reflects our commitment to supporting localization strategies in emerging energy markets.
